Only The Essentials
Change, according to the Webster dictionary means “to make different”. I suppose you could say we are changing. New logo, fresh look, but at the core we remain the same. The store opened in late 2015 and I hoped to bring back the kind of shopping I love so much. An intimate environment stocked with high-quality items that would transition from work to a night out. I adore the latest trends but find I consistently go back to those classics that are easy to utilize. Along the way, I found my customers were looking for similar items. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shirt. It's my go to when I want to look great and feel comfortable. The ability to layer it allows me to wear my sleeveless dresses year 'round. It's just the right weight to wear under sweaters and tops for a little extra warmth. If I could wear it everyday, I would.Facebook Twitter Pinterest
Each quarter I have a new intern from the Textiles program at The University of RI. My most recent intern, Nicole, is graduating this May and she is so excited about the next chapter in her life. A topic that continues to come up; her wardrobe. What to wear on interviews? How to ditch the college wardrobe? How to look professional in the office without losing her personal style? With a limited budget how does she build a professional wardrobe that will fuel her confidence but not tap all her savings? All great questions that I think about even now, 25 years into my career.
This week’s blog are Nicole’s tips on how she is building her professional wardrobe and saying good-bye to the college favorites (crop tops anyone). I think she is well on her way to setting the fashion world on fire!Facebook Twitter Pinterest

When I started this entrepreneurial journey about 24 months ago, it wasn’t with rose colored glasses. I knew being an entrepreneur would be a challenge, it was going to be hard, but I was ready for the test. Then something happened along the road to my vision, I realized something was much harder than anything else I had anticipated. It was recently, during a very important meeting, one that might influence our future greatly, I was asked a very important question. “What is the hardest thing you have learned since opening the business?”

I must admit something, I am a POP culture junkie. I have been for years. I receive my POPSUGAR news brief and I stop everything to peruse the headlines. It’s a bit of an escape from the daily undertakings. As you might imagine, the fashion is the highlight for me. I love to see what the stars are wearing, how they styled the latest trend and how I might incorporate the look in my everyday life.
This week’s blog is a bit of a “Who, What, Wear”. Celebrities I found rockin’ the same designs you can find in our store and why I love the look.Facebook Twitter Pinterest
This was an exciting year for robin b., and a year of milestones. One that I am super proud of, and can't believe I accomplished, is adding blogs to the site. I must admit, I am not a writer (or so I thought) and the idea of adding content about a certain subject had me running for the hills! But alas, what we fear most and overcome is what makes us stronger. (FYI - I totally believe that!).
So, to celebrate I thought I would share with you the top 5 blogs of 2016!Facebook Twitter Pinterest
